John Steytler

John Steytler oversees pharmacovigilance and clinical development activities for dapivirine vaginal ring formulations. Prior to joining the Population Council, he worked in pharmaceutical clinical research, drug safety and medical affairs for the International Partnership for Microbicides, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Hoffman-La Roche (Roche) with a focus in several therapeutic areas including HIV, oncology, hepatitis B and C and autoimmune disease.

Steytler earned a Medical Degree at the University of Cape Town, MBChB (UCT).
