Mar Aguilar oversees Global Administration at the Population Council. In this role, she provides operational guidance, ensures staff safety and security, supervises procurement, and proposes solutions and uniform office systems that support efficient and effective global operations of the organization. Aguilar also ensures policies and procedures are appropriately adapted and applied to local contexts.

Aguilar has a Master’s in administration from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. She previously worked for Habitat for Humanity Mexico as director of finance for the Jimmy Carter Project, which built 150 houses in Puebla and Veracruz.
