LinkedIn As Chief Operating Officer (COO) at IPM South Africa NPC, an affiliate of the Population Council, Willem Kriel is currently responsible for operations in South Africa, with a specific focus on activities related to the market authorization holder (MAH) for DapiRing. He is also providing oversight support for the bioavailability study for the 3-month dapivirine vaginal ring. In addition, he will be involved in the project management activities related to the Annovera acceptability study.
Kriel is an experienced clinical affairs associate with a demonstrated history of working in the pharmaceutical industry. He is skilled in clinical trial management, site development, audit and inspection readiness, country operations, and business development. Achievements include: Top Regional Country Pharma Organization in Maximizing Recruitment; Medical Associate of the year 2013; Recruitment Initiative Award and STAR award for “Growth pillar.”
Kriel holds an MSc in Pharmaceutical Medicine and a BA (Hons) in Industrial Psychology.
