George W. Creasy

George Creasy is senior medical advisor for the Population Council. He previously served as medical director, the responsible medical officer for new clinical studies and crafts proposals, academic papers, regulatory submissions, project plans, and protocols related to our reproductive health and HIV biomedical products.
Before joining the Council in 2012, Creasy was vice president of clinical research and executive officer at Columbia Laboratories, where he was responsible for medical affairs, clinical development of new products, drug safety and surveillance, and acquiring and managing intellectual property. Creasy has also worked for Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research and Development, and as an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
Creasy has participated in the development of 14 drugs, including the filing of new and supplemental NDAs for six drugs. He also obtained a patent for treating or preventing spontaneous preterm birth. Creasy is the author and co-author of many publications, presentations, and abstracts.
Creasy received his MD from The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine.
