James DeGroat

James DeGroat serves as the production manager for the Population Council’s two scholarly journals: Population and Development Review and Studies in Family Planning.

He oversees the publishing process, coordinating between authors, production vendors, and editorial staff to ensure accepted papers are published in a timely manner, and data and visual assets are in line with the standards of both journals. DeGroat also collaborates with Council colleagues on publications and communications for a variety of projects.

Prior to joining the Population Council, DeGroat worked in the insurance and travel industries. He holds a BA in Graphic Design from Sacred Heart University.
