Martin Migombano

Managing Director, FP2030 for the North, West, and Central Hub

Martin Migombano is the Managing Director for FP2030 for the North, West, and Central Hub. FP2030 is a global partnership centered on family planning. He has over 20 years of experience. His primary responsibility is to ensure that the governments in West, Central, and North Africa develop engagements that foster easy access to contraception for all women and ensure alignments of national and regional partners to support country implementation plans. Before that, he was the Country Director for MSI Reproductive Choices in Mali for four years, where he was leading MSI operations in a challenging environment, ensuring that the government and MSI deliver on their mandate of providing women with sexual and reproductive health services regardless of the political and security environment.

Before his tenure at MSI, Migombano gained extensive experience in various international organizations at the national and regional levels. He served in multiple capacities as a regional Advisor for IPPF Africa, managing portfolios such as the humanitarian response, family planning, and regional restricted projects. He is a medical doctor by training.

He holds a master’s in public health (Manchester Metropolitan University), a master’s in business and administration (the UoPeople USA), and a postgraduate degree in Leadership and Project management (Deakin University and the University of Cape Town respectively). He is a member of the UK Royal Society for Public Health.
