Dr. Rana Hajjeh has informed us that after careful consideration, and due to professional and personal reasons, she has decided to resign from her role as President of the Population Council. We thank Dr. Hajjeh for her leadership and her contribution to the Council and wish her the best in her future endeavors. The Board of Trustees has appointed James Sailer, Vice President and Executive Director of the Center for Biomedical Research, and Patricia C. Vaughan, Vice President and General Counsel, as Interim Co-Presidents. Mr. Sailer and Ms. Vaughan are experienced leaders with a deep knowledge of the organization.
