Erica Barks Ruggles served for over 32 years in senior international leadership and diplomatic positions both in Washington, DC and abroad. She led the successful US effort to rejoin UNESCO and served as the Senior Representative and Head of Delegation to four major International Telecommunication Union conferences. She led the Bureau of International Organization Affairs as Acting Assistant Secretary, served as the US Ambassador to the Republic of Rwanda, and served as Deputy to the US Ambassador to the UN. She currently teaches both undergraduate and graduate students.
