Kyle Kleinbeck is a pharmaceutical development scientist focused on formulation, manufacturing, and development of products for contraception, and HIV and other STI prevention at the Population Council’s Center for Biomedical Research. Kleinbeck is the technical lead for dapivirine and levonorgestrel vaginal ring and griffithsin drug substance while also providing formulation, raw materials, and manufacturing support for a number of other Council products.
In over 10 years with the Population Council and International Partnership for Microbicides, Kleinbeck has led formulation, analytical, and manufacturing activities resulting in three successful Investigational New Drug applications for HIV prevention and contraception products, four Phase I clinical studies, and 15 peer reviewed manuscripts.
Kleinbeck received a BS in Pharmacology & Toxicology and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
