Stella Muthuri is the CEO of the Baobab Research Programme Consortium. Baobab is filling gaps in evidence to enhance sexual and reproductive health and rights among vulnerable populations in humanitarian settings in the East and Horn of Africa by bringing robust and representative surveys to refugee settlements for the first time, investigating violence against children and adolescents, unsafe abortion, and unplanned pregnancies. Muthuri also contributes to the Population Council’s role in the Africa-Led Movement to end FGM/C, which includes providing technical support to consortium partners to ensure that their data collection and measurement tools speak to the ALM-FGM/C results framework.
Muthuri attained a PhD in Population Health from the Institute of Population Health at the University of Ottawa in Canada.
