Rooted Reflections is a special series from the Baobab Research Programme Consortium documenting reflections, experiences, and learnings that are often left uncaptured by researchers in their implementation of research studies and by the peer-reviewed literature.
Baobab is an Africa-based, African-led consortium that is changing the narrative about the possibilities for sexual and reproductive health and rights research in refugee settings. Baobab conducts rigorous, globally known surveys in refugee settings in the East and Horn of Africa for the first time, coupling this work with operations research and evidence-informed interventions. UNHCR and its partners will use the evidence generated by Baobab to develop programs and policies.
As Baobab moves forward, Rooted Reflections will be a continuing forum to share personal insights, giving readers a deeper understanding of and bringing them closer to this critical, urgent work.
