Emily Dorman is a Senior Project Manager for product development at the Center for Biomedical Research. Dorman’s primary focus is coordinating the cross-functional technical activities to support the Council’s dapivirine vaginal ring programs.
Dorman has over 10 years of experience with different aspects of biomedical innovation. For eight years as a consultant to pharmaceutical companies, she conducted cost-effectiveness and comparative efficacy analyses to demonstrate the value of new health technologies. Dorman evaluated new women’s health opportunities from scientific, business, and mission perspectives in a previous role at Medicines360. From 2012 to 2013, Dorman served on the board of the Male Contraceptive Initiative and has published papers on the demand for and potential impact of male contraception.
Dorman has a B.A. in psychology from Vassar College, an MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and an MBA from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.
