Senior Business Development Manager, Research Mobilization

Katie Waller is the senior business development manager of research mobilization. Waller brings over 18 years of experience in business development, program management, technical assistance, and partnership building in global health. As a member of the Council’s Business Development team, Katie works to identify, cultivate, and pursue new funding opportunities, with a particular focus on West Africa (supporting the Council’s offices in Senegal and Nigeria). She also leads the pursuit of multicountry/global opportunities.
Prior to her role at the Council, Waller served as a Senior Associate at Broderick Haight Consulting, and provided advisory services to USAID implementing partners aimed at strengthening their business development systems and standard operating procedures according to industry best practices.
In addition to her business development experience, Waller has previously served in program management and technical roles at the Sabin Vaccine Institute, Social Solutions International, and Cardno, where she worked across an array of global health areas, including immunization, family planning, maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, and child protection.
Waller holds a Masters in Public Health (MPH) in Global Health from the George Washington University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Vanderbilt University. Her language skills include English (native fluency) and French (proficient).
