Mame Soukeye Mbaye joined the Council in November 2022 primarily serving as project manager to the SWEDD project. As part of the Girl Center, she serves as representative of the Senegal Office in the global network of GIRL Center internal collaborators and is contributing to research projects across Francophone West Africa region and convening and participating in adolescent focused meetings and events to amplify the work of the Council. It’s also part of her responsibilities to work on the UNICEF (Building Resilience for adolescent girls in the Sahel) project and projects at the Senegal office level.
Before joining the Council, she used to lead research projects with a client portfolio of various organizations, government agencies, and multi-country projects. She is well versed in research and project management and in monitoring and evaluation. She has expanded experience in topics related to education, public health, health issues, education, and nutrition.
Mbaye holds a PhD in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Cheikh Anta Diop, in Dakar, Senegal.
