Marlena Gehret Plagianos is a senior biostatistician at the Population Council’s Center for Biomedical Research. She provides statistical guidance for clinical research to ensure data collected meet analytical and regulatory requirements. With extensive experience in SAS programming, she executes analyses for manuscripts and designs custom graphs for presentations. She provides statistical consulting on study design, power and sample-size calculations.
From 2008 to 2011, she worked with the New York City Department of Health, leveraging electronic health record implementation for syndromic disease surveillance.
Plagianos holds an MS in biostatistics from the Mailman School of Public Health of Columbia University, and a BA in statistics and biomathematics from Rutgers University.
