Peter Kisaakye is a research fellow on the Baobab Research Programme Consortium. He primarily provides technical support to the implementation of project activities. Kisaakye has been at the helm of implementing the first-ever Violence Against Children and Youth Survey (VACS) in refugee settlements in Uganda, measuring Abortion Incidence and Quality of Post-Abortion Care in Refugee Settings (AICM), and addressing unintended pregnancy in refugee settings in Uganda.
Kisaakye has authored 40 peer-reviewed papers, technical reports, and book chapters. He has presented his scientific work at major conferences including the Population Association of America (PAA), International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP), Union of African Population Studies (UAPS), and Symposium on Male Child and Adolescent Survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
Kisaakye holds a PhD in Demography from the University of Cape Town.
