Sikiru Baruwa

Sikiru Baruwa is a Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation Director at the Population Council in Nigeria where he supports the research agenda, data management, analysis, and reporting of all research studies and M&E activities for the IntegratE Family Planning and Primary Health Care project with community pharmacist (CPs) and Patent and Proprietary Medicine Vendors (PPMVS) across 11 states in Nigeria.

Prior to joining the Population Council, he has worked with Abt Associates as senior M&E advisor and Family Health International/Achieving Health, Nigeria as senior technical officer. Previously, Baruwa pioneered a research and evaluation unit at Life Vanguards, adding a new level of validity to the quantitative and qualitative research conducted there.

Baruwa holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in sociology from the University of Lagos and University of Ibadan, respectively.
