2025 National Contraception Meeting

April 28–May 1, 2025

Durham, NC, USA

Event Website

The National Contraception Meeting brings together scientists, researchers, clinicians, and trainees from academia and the public sector to discuss the latest advancements in contraception research and development.

The Population Council’s Center for Biomedical Research will have a significant presence at the National Contraception Meeting.

The Population Council is the global leader in vaginal ring development with more vaginal rings in our product pipeline than any other organization. We are developing rings for contraception, HIV, and prevention of sexually transmitted infections.

In addition to development work, the Population Council is conducting research to improve our understanding of how physical characteristics of rings affect their acceptability. During the poster session, conference attendees can hear from our staff on pre-clinical results of a nonhormonal multipurpose ring, male perspectives on various sized-vaginal rings, and results from two surveys related women’s preferences for multipurpose rings.

Staff will also present on results from a national online survey that found most women are interested in their male partners using novel male contraceptives in development.
