In collaboration with the Zambian Ministry of Health, RTI International, and the University of North Carolina (UNC), the Council is conducting a study to develop and test a multi-level package of interventions for an integrated care delivery model of HIV prevention and treatment targeting adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) in Zambia (2017–2023).
This study seeks to create an integrated wellness care clinical delivery model that connects AGYW with regular care, providing a sustainable platform for successful implementation of regular HIV testing and support for linkage to care, retention in care, and adherence to antiviral treatment. The model will target all AGYW, both those who are HIV negative or do not know their status and those who are HIV positive. By providing a comprehensive approach to HIV prevention and treatment, this study aims to improve the health and well-being of AGYW in Zambia.
